Free Prompt Engineering Skills for Irish Professionals

CeADAR, Ireland’s national centre for applied AI, is launching a fully funded prompt engineering course called Prompt Engineering for You. Developed by CeADAR’s European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), the course is funded by the European Commission and Enterprise Ireland, and aligns with the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment’s AI – Good for Business initiative.

Course Structure and Accessibility

The course teaches hands-on skills via five modules and requires no technical or coding background. Participants who complete the course receive a certificate of completion from CeADAR’s EDIH for AI programme.

Ireland’s Digital Leadership Position

The initiative reflects Ireland’s strong digital foundation. According to the European Commission’s 2026 Digital Decade Country Report, Ireland ranked second in the EU for basic digital skills, with 83% of the population possessing at least basic digital skills—compared with an EU average of 60%. Ireland also ranked fifth in the EU for generative AI adoption, with an adoption rate of 45%, significantly above the EU average of 33%.
